This is CISV USA’s registration site for National Leadership Training. Each year CISV USA ’s National Leadership Training Committee organizes training workshops at over 5 locations nationwide for over 220 program personnel across the USA. Village, Summer Camp, and Interchange Delegation Leaders, Program Staff and Directors, Junior Counselors, Seminar Camp Delegates, and Local Leadership Trainers are all required to be trained by CISV USA in order to serve in a leadership capacity in a program.
Consistent with CISV’s Educational Philosophy, CISV University utilizes experiential learning methods to develop skills, knowledge, and attitudes in the leaders in order to develop the awareness and competency needed to live in the intercultural environment that is inherent to CISV programs.
National-level training builds on the training provided by skilled Local Trainers. The training modules include: conflict resolution, decision making, group process & development, communication, team building, activity planning, CISV educational philosophy, and program-specific information.
All program personnel are certified in accordance with CISV International’s policies. Certification is a requirement for participation in any International Program.
